What do you get when you cross an English nerd with an anxiety disorder? A lot of work getting cut.
In the course of my life, of my long-time on-off interest in creative work (particularly writing), a lot of things have been scrapped. A lot of this is due to the fact that I didn't store any of this work on the internet. The vast majority of this work has been lost forever thanks to hard drive failures and irrational deletions.
The purpose of this site is to document work that I have created that is not fit for publication elsewhere, but not worthy of summary deletion. Think of it as the "cutting-room-floor" of my work. Not to say these ideas are bad, you may quite enjoy them, but I think they just don't fit anywhere else.
Within the canon of the SCP Foundation, Mobile Task Forces are formed by the Foundation in order to do the dirty work. The lot of MTFs on the official list feature an insignia, a black-and-white design that embodies the MTF. Below are a couple of these insignias I cooked up myself.
This is only here because I'm too terrified to actually submit it to HarryBlank and the Curation Team. On the off chance they're reading this and want to use it, PM me. Anyways, there's not a whole lot to this thing. I am far more proud of using the house as one of the arrows than I should be.
This MTF was created by me for SCP-8692. The name and sheriff badge are relevant to the article and ultimately not material to their job itself, but the brain symbolizes their high CRV scores (as they specialize in cognitohazard acquisition).
Network Area-149 is an original SCP setting of mine, with original anomalies and characters. I may end up publishing some of the writing I did of it on this site, I'll be sure to update this description if so. Anyways, what follows is a collection of designs I made pertaining to Area-149 and its Branches.
Area-149 is situated in Colorado Springs, so I based this insignia off of the flag of the Springs.
I decided to go with a plus sign made of wrenches because A) any additions built onto the Area are approved by Admin & Ops and B) if you see someone using a wrench at Area-149, they're probably from Admin & Ops.
Colorado Springs is the Briar-class Nexus-149, so of course someone needs to make sure the public doesn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Admittedly, I didn't have much of an idea for this one, so I just made an N out of the SCP arrows.
It's pretty self-explanitory here. Files. Don't worry about the eyes.
There's not a whole lot to this one either; I'm gonna claim that the three stars represent the three axioms of the Foundation, and are not just a coincidental design decision.
Arguably the most complex design of these, I started with a simple eye shape and then added a triangle so that if you rotate it it looks like a speaking mouth and a C for Colorado! Or countermemetics. If you're weird.
This Branch serves as the combined force of Applied Thaumaturgy and Tactical Theology. All hail our beautiful magical weapons.
